Check your store locator before launch
What this article helps you do
Complete these checks before you make the store locator public.
Before you start
- Mapstore is installed.
- Mapstore has one or more stores.
- The map block is on a page in your theme.
- You can edit your theme and access Mapstore settings.
Step-by-step instructions
1. Check store status
- Open Stores in Mapstore.
- Make sure that each necessary location has Status set to Active.
- Mapstore does not show Draft stores on the storefront.
2. Verify the map page
- In the theme editor, make sure that the Mapstore map block is on the page that shoppers use.
- Save the theme to apply the changes.
3. Check addresses and geocoding
- Open the store locator.
- Make sure that you can see each store at the correct map position.
- If a store is missing or in an incorrect position, fix its address.
- Use Geocode address or Find on map.
- Save the store.
4. Test search and filters (if used)
- If you use filters or tags, test the search and each filter.
- Make sure that the results are correct.
5. Optional: Test lead form and product availability
- If you use lead forms, submit a test message.
- Make sure that you receive the test message.
- If you use product availability, open a product page.
- Make sure that you can see the correct stores.
How to verify it worked
- The map shows each active store.
- Search and filters return the expected results.
- The store locator loads on mobile and desktop.
- The search field, filters, map controls, and store links work.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Fix |

| Some stores are not on the map | Check that their Status is Active. Check their map coordinates. See Fix a store missing from the map. |
| Map block is not shown | Make sure that the map block is on the correct page template in the theme editor. |
| Store locations are incorrect | Update the address. Use Geocode address or Find on map. Check the coordinates before you save. |
