Export stores

What this article helps you do

Export all store locations in Mapstore as a ZIP attachment. Use the CSV as a backup, work with it in a spreadsheet, or import it into a different Mapstore shop.

Request an export

  1. In Mapstore, go to Stores.
  2. Click Export stores.
  3. Wait for the email titled Mapstore: Your CSV export is ready.
  4. Download the ZIP attachment.
  5. Extract the ZIP attachment.

Mapstore processes the export in the background. It sends the export to the Shopify shop email and all other notification recipients.

What the CSV contains

Mapstore includes each store in the export. This includes manual, CSV-imported, and Google Sheets-managed locations. Dashboard search and filters do not limit the export.

It contains Mapstore’s standard import columns for:

  • Name, status, pinned state, address, latitude, and longitude
  • Image, phone, email, website, and description
  • Google Place ID and custom directions URL
  • Internal notes, filters, and custom marker image URL
  • Each custom field defined for the shop

The headers are compatible with the Mapstore CSV importer. You can keep the file as a backup. Review the file before an import. It does not include related data such as product assignments.

Troubleshooting

Issue Fix
Email is not received Check the Shopify shop email, other notification recipients, and spam or junk folders.
Export stores is disabled Clear the dashboard search and filters. Make sure that you can see one or more stores.
Export only specified stores The export always includes all locations. Filter the CSV after you open it in a spreadsheet.
