Change store locator text
What this article helps you do
Change the text that shoppers see on your store locator. You can change labels such as “Directions”, “Business hours”, and “Search”.
Before you start
- Mapstore is installed.
- The map block is on a page.
- You have access to the theme editor.
Step-by-step instructions
1. Open text settings
- If Mapstore Text Settings is disabled, enable it in App embeds.
- Open the Mapstore Text Settings embed.
- The app embed opens with text controls.
2. Edit labels and headings
- Use the text fields to change labels such as:
- “Show on map”
- “Business hours”
- “Directions”
- “Find stores near me”
- “Load more”
- “Search” placeholder
- “No stores found” message
- “Website”, “Email”, “Share”, “Reset”, and other storefront copy
- Enter the necessary text in each field.
3. Save and preview
- Click Save in the theme editor.
- Open the store locator on the storefront.
- Make sure that you can see the new text in the correct positions.
How to verify it worked
- Save the theme.
- Visit the store locator.
- Make sure that the labels show your custom text.
- Test the “No stores found” state with a search that has no results.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Fix |

| Storefront does not show text changes | Save the theme and refresh the storefront. If necessary, clear the browser cache. |
| Text settings are not shown | Open App embeds. Make sure that Mapstore Text Settings is enabled. |
