Managing stores in bulk

What this article helps you do

Update multiple stores at once using bulk actions. You can change status (draft/active), pin stores, delete stores, or sync Google Place IDs from the Stores list without opening each store individually.

Before you start

Step-by-step instructions

1. Open the bulk menu

  1. Go to Stores in Mapstore.
  2. Select one or more stores using the checkboxes.
  3. Use the bulk actions menu (e.g. Actions or a similar control at the top of the list).
  4. Choose the action you want.

2. Available bulk actions

Common bulk menu actions include:

  • Set status - Set selected stores to Draft or Active
  • Pin / Unpin - Feature or unfeature stores
  • Delete - Remove selected stores
  • Sync Google Place ID - Fetch ratings and hours for stores that have a Place ID (requires valid Google API key and Places API enabled)

3. Sync Google Place ID

To sync Google Place ID data in bulk:

  1. Ensure stores have a Google Place ID set (see Set a Google Place ID for a store).
  2. Select the stores you want to sync.
  3. Choose Sync Google Place ID (or equivalent) from the bulk menu.
  4. Mapstore will call the Places API and update ratings and business hours for each store.
  5. The sync button requires a valid Google API key and Places API access; if the test fails, see Configure Google API key and required APIs.

How to verify it worked

  1. After bulk status change, filter by Active or Draft and confirm the right stores appear.
  2. After bulk pinning, check that pinned stores show as featured on the storefront.
  3. After Google sync, open a store and verify ratings and hours are present.
  4. After bulk delete, confirm the stores are removed from the list and storefront.
