Set up Mapstore for a Shopify store

Install Mapstore on your Shopify store, open the app, and follow the setup guide to add stores, add the map to your theme, and customize it.

Before you start

• You must be a Shopify store owner or staff with app installation rights
• Your store must be on a plan that supports apps (Shopify Plus, Advanced, Basic, or similar)

Step-by-step instructions

1. Install Mapstore from the Shopify App Store

1. Go to the Mapstore page in the Shopify App Store.
2. Click Add app.
3. Follow the installation flow (you may need to approve charges if your plan requires it).

2. Open Mapstore from your Shopify admin

After installation, open Mapstore from Apps in your Shopify admin. You’ll land on the Mapstore home page with the setup guide.

3. Complete the setup guide steps

The setup guide walks you through four steps:

1. Add stores - Add your first store manually or use bulk upload (CSV).
2. Add the map to your theme - Use the button to open the theme editor with the map block ready to add.
3. Customize style and text - Adjust map colors and labels to match your brand.
4. Set up lead forms (optional) - Enable lead capture for store contact.

Use the buttons in each step to go directly to the right place (e.g. Add first store, Bulk upload stores, Add to theme, Customize map style, Customize text).

How to verify it worked

• Mapstore opens without errors when you click it from Apps.
• The setup guide shows on the home page with checkboxes for each step.
• You can add a store and add the map block to a page.
